This is a lil outfit that I threw together for a recent outing to the Jill Scott 20th Anniversary Tour, here in St. Louis, MO. I got a lot of compliments on it so here it is. I think I shop a little differently than most people. I hardly ever purchase an outfit for a specific event. I randomly buy things usually online and then when I have somewhere to go, I raid the closet and see what I can scrounge up.
So this outfit started with a pair of black and gold earrings. I saw them online at grittysoul.com over one year ago. Gritty Soul makes jewelry from vinyl records. I looked at the earrings for months but was hesitant to purchase because they were $70 dollars. I believe I have mentioned before that I do not like to spend a lot of money on things (clothes, material possessions, etc). I much prefer to spend my money on experiences (travel, live entertainment, etc). So I kept looking thinking, “Ooooooo these are so cute” but I didn’t buy them. Finally, the earrings went on sale for $45 dollars. I was still hesitant to buy but kept looking at them for a few more months. Then one day I go to the website and I spotted some cute gold leggings, “Solid Gold Soul Leggings” for $25, so I said to myself, “hey now I can put together a lil outfit”. That’s how I think yall. Ok! (and sometimes I actually do talk to myself-don’t judge me)😂🤣😂
I completed the outfit with a black sweater ordered online from Akira that I believe was $40 dollars, some gold sandals I bought at DSW at least five years ago-don’t remember exact date, gold purse also from DSW (I have this one in three different colors) and a few pieces of jewelry I had laying around and Viola!!
