I love to travel and although I love being able to getaway for an extended stay I have also been known to make quick day or overnight trips.
This particular trip was a overnight trip. I flew into Cleveland, Ohio to enjoy some site seeing during the day and then enjoyed a concert that night. The next day I took a flight back home.
The Daytime
I landed from the flight and immediately went into site-seeing mode in an effort to see what the city had to offer. Of course I also made time to try out a few eateries while in town. Since this was a short trip I will just cover some of the main highlights. I visited the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This is definitely a must see. You can learn a lot about some of your favorite artists as well as different genres and eras of music.

There were many marvelous exhibits and I took them all in. Too many to document here. However, I definitely want to highlight one of my favorite entertainers of all time, Michael Jackson. I absolutely adore him. He is a true musical genius. I feel blessed to have grown up in the era when he was at the height of his solo career. He broke many barriers in the music industry and helped to make “black music” main stream. He was instrumental in advancing race relations. He was also active in spreading awareness of HIV/AIDS in the early days of this health epidemic. Michael was responsible for breaking the color barrier on MTV which at one time only played the videos of White entertainers. Not only did he break the color barrier but in my opinion he single handedly forever changed the music video genre with his famous videos/short films. His Thriller video was ground-breaking.
I think I have all of his recordings including his time with the Jackson 5 and The Jacksons along with all his solo projects. I still have many books, posters and other memorabilia in my possession from my childhood. I LOVE Me Some Michael❤️. So I was excited to see him honored at this museum. I will always cherish the memory of seeing him perform live on the Bad Tour in 1988.

City Views
I always look for bodies of water whenever I travel. Water is so serene and calming.

The Nighttime!
I got cute and went to see Ralph Tresvant and Johnny Gill in concert. If you know me you already know that Ralph is My Favorite❤️. The concert was amazing as usual. After enjoying the concert and grabbing a late night meal I went to bed and then flew out the next morning.
