This is a quick update on my loc journey. If you know me in real life or follow me on social media you know that I have worn my hair natural for most of my life. I named my hair “Velma” many years ago. Prior to starting my locs in 2021 I had not actually straightened my hair for over twenty years. I debated locs for years and finally decided to make the commitment with microlocs. I chose these types of locs because I feel that they are versatile and have the feel of “loose natural” hair in terms of the multiple styling options. I celebrated my one year Locaversary on January 19, 2022. I have not posted any updates on my blog since the three month mark. I have included videos from my Youtube channel for both my one year update and 6 month update as well as some progression pictures along the way. So far I very pleased with my loc journey. Velma is flourishing and I love the low maintenance regimen.
